Pinball League Regensburg

Do you like playing pinball? Don't want to play alone? Are you from Regensburg, Landshut or the surrounding area? Then you've come to the right place!

We are a group of enthusiastic pinball players who don't want to pursue their passion alone. Anyone who likes to play pinball can join in. The pinball league is a year-round tournament. Read more about it in the Regensburg pinball league's rules.

Of course, you are also welcome to come and play pinball for fun on opening days without a tournament.

Rules of the Regensburg Pinball League

Basics:

The pinball league is represented nationwide. The individual pinball leagues can determine the rules of the game themselves. The regional pinball leagues determine their three best players in a year-round tournament. The three best placed players are entitled to take part in the pinball league finals of all leagues. The opportunity to take part in the guest tournament, which takes place at the same time, depends on the other placings. The final takes place in the autumn in the Seligenstadt pinball and arcade museum. There, the championship title for the current year is played out in a tournament.

Rules of the Regensburg Pinball League

Status: 1.3.2024

The Regensburg pinball league season generally runs from September to July. Match days take place every second Friday (odd weeks) in the pinball catacombs in Regensburg or in the Landshut pinball cellar. Alternatively, the games can be played elsewhere by mutual agreement of the players. Participants must play one home and one away game per season, each against each other. The game is played in the "best of 5" format. To win a game, the current opponent must be defeated 3 times on one device. Example for "best of 5" = 3:0, 3:1 or 3:2. The winner gets 10 league points. The loser gets 3 points for each game won.

Example:

3:2 The winner receives 10 league points and the loser receives 6 league points. 3:1 The winner receives 10 league points and the loser receives 3 league points. 3:0 The winner receives 10 league points and the loser receives 0 league points.

The pinball machines to be played are drawn at random. If the pinball machine drawn is still occupied by another league game or is defective, a second draw can be held if both players want it that way. If a serious defect occurs during the league game, a replacement machine is drawn at random if the machine cannot be repaired immediately. The sets already played remain valid and the current game is canceled. If (minor) problems arise, those involved should try to agree on how to proceed. If this is not possible, a decision can be made by one of the league officials. The rules of the International Pinball Association IFPA are the basis of our league game.

The two league games (home and away) do not have to be played at the same time. The game result is entered into the handouts provided and entered centrally.

A challenge must be accepted (if during the core time from 7pm to 11pm). Challenges not played will be counted as a 0:3 loss at the end of the season.

Only players who have completed at least 50% of their games will be included in the ranking. Otherwise, the games already played will also be removed from the ranking at the end of the season.

The players will receive the results of the match day, the current table and various evaluations by email shortly after the match day.

If someone leaves the league, all of his games of the season will be removed from the ranking.

The league games result in a ranking. This is also the final results table at the end of the season. If there is a tie, a playoff is generally held in the "best of 5" mode.

The winner receives the Regensburg League Challenge Cup.
